RFPs issued for multiple projects in the Fishtrap Creek drainage

The Lower Clark Fork Watershed Group (LCFWG), in partnership with Trout Unlimited (TU), Yellowstone to Yukon Initiative (Y2Y), Lolo National Forest (LNF), Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), and NorthWestern Energy (NWE) is seeking qualified contractor(s) for the following three projects in the Fishtrap Creek drainage outside of Thompson Falls, MT. The LCFWG is coordinating contractor selection for all three projects, with technical assistance from TU. All responses are due 5/1/20 at 5PM MST.

RFP 2020-01: West Fork Fishtrap Creek Road Realignment Project

This project will realign the junction of West Fork Fishtrap Creek Road (NFSR 7609) with the mainstem Fishtrap Creek Road (NFSR 516), and will involve equipment and labor for road construction, road obliteration, and adjacent floodplain and streambank rehabilitation and enhancement along Fishtrap Creek. The Contract Issuer for this project will be LCFWG.

RFP 2020-02: Fishtrap Creek Habitat Enhancement Project

This project will strategically place wood structures in Fishtrap Creek to enhance complexity of fish habitat, and will involve cable yarding equipment and labor to selectively fall and align structures in the creek. The Contract Issuer for this project will be LCFWG.

RFP 2020-03: Beartrap Road Storage Project

This project will mitigate road-related risks in the Beartrap drainage (tributary to Fishtrap Creek), and will involve equipment and labor for 5.01 miles of road storage. The Contract Issuer for this project will be Y2Y.

Pre-bid tours: LCFWG will not be hosting a pre-bid tour due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We have developed these RFPs to be standalone documents, containing all necessary information for an informed bid. We encourage potential offerors to visit the site independently, but this is not required.
